Bismuth is a silvery white to pink metal that is brittle and easily broken. Bismuth exists in nature in the form of free metals and minerals. Bismuth was previously thought to be the most stable element of relative atomic mass, but in 2003, it was found that bismuth was extremely weak.

# Properties of Bi

1. Chemical properties

Bismuth is heated to above the melting point of burning, a light blue flame, generating three oxidation two bismuth, bismuth in red can also with sulfur and halogen compounds. Bismuth is insoluble in water and insoluble in non oxidizing acids.

2. Physical properties

a. Pure bismuth is a soft metal, crisp pure. Stable at room temperature. The main ore bismutinite and bismuth ocher stone. The expansion of liquid bismuth.
b. Brittle, conductive and thermal conductivity are poor. Bismuth selenide and telluride with semiconductor properties.

1. Semiconductor
