Product Description
ADSS cable adopts a loose tube stranded design. Optical fibers, each with a 250 μm diameter, are housed and protected within tubes made from high modulus plastic, which are filled with a water-blocking compound. These tubes and fillers are helically stranded around a central FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) rod that serves as a non-metallic strength element, forming a compact, circular core. A thin polyethylene (PE) inner jacket is then applied. Surrounding this, aramid yarns are helically wound to provide additional tensile strength. Finally, the entire assembly is enclosed with a PE or AT (anti-tracking) outer sheath, completing the cable.

This cable offers excellent mechanical and thermal properties. Its lightweight design and small diameter help minimize wind and ice loads, as well as reduce the overall stress on towers and poles. Additionally, the inclusion of aramid yarn significantly enhances its tensile strength. With a maximum span exceeding 1000 meters, it is well-suited for extensive installations.
