Applications of Tinplate and TFS
ETP (Electrolytic Tinplate)
Primarily used for packaging foodstuffs and beverages, but also suitable for containers of oils, grease, paints, polishes, chemicals and many other products. Aerosol containers, caps and closures are also manufactured from ETP.
TFS (Tin Free Steel)
Most frequently used for can tops, screw and lug caps, snap and press-on closures, and shallow-drawn food cans.
