S31803 / S32205 Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe 10mm
Duplex steel grades have properties superior to traditional austenitic 300 series stainless steels. The microstructure of duplex 2205 pipes each accounts for 50% ferrite and 50% austenite, thus inheriting the characteristics of these two types of alloys, making this nitrogen-enhanced duplex 2205 seamless pipe widely used in food processing, oil field pipelines, and heat exchangers. It is widely used in flue gas desulfurization and other industries.
However, at temperatures above 600°F, Duplex 2205 tubing may become brittle and rot. ASTM A789 UNS S31803 alloy pipe is a cost-effective solution that is insensitive to chloride stress-related corrosion cracking and is suitable for applications requiring general corrosion resistance. The ASTM A789 specification also highlights the resistance of ASTM A789 UNS S32205 to stress-related corrosion cracking.
