2205 2507 Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe Uns Grade
Alloy 2205 is a duplex stainless steel that has nitrogen added to improve corrosion resistance, especially where welding is required. In the annealed state, the strength of 2205 alloy is more than twice that of traditional austenitic stainless steel, and its corrosion resistance is better than that of 316 alloy in many environments. It is the most widely used of duplex stainless steels. Alloy 2205 is commonly known as 22 Chrome and has the common name UNS N31803.
