NM500 High Strength Steel Plate with 12m Length, 70,000 - 100,000 Psi Tensile Strength, and 18% - 21% Elongation
NM500 Steel belongs to a steel grade specified in the GB standard GB 24186. NM 500 steel, characterized by its exceptional hardness and durability, is a high-strength, wear-resistant and abrasion-resistant steel.
Known for its superior properties, NM 500 steel is highly regarded for its toughness and resistance to wear and abrasion. It is widely used in industries where hardness and durability are crucial factors for performance and longevity.
- High Wear Resistance: The wear resistance of this material surpasses that of ordinary steel plates by more than 15-20 times, low-alloy steel plates by 5-10 times, and high-chromium cast iron by 2-5 times.
- Better Impact Performance: The wear-resistant layer is designed to withstand wear from external forces, while the substrate exhibits excellent load-bearing capacity.
- Better Heat Resistance: Suitable for use in temperatures up to 600ºC. Addition of vanadium, molybdenum, and other alloys can enhance capacity to withstand temperatures up to 800ºC.
- Good Corrosion Resistance: The alloy layer contains significant metallic chromium, providing solid rust and corrosion resistance.
- Good Processing Performance: Can be easily cut, bent, crimped, welded, and punched to create various components and parts.
