What is Cold Rolled Steel?
Cold rolled steel is produced by cold rolling. Cold rolling is a steel plate that further thins the No.1 steel plate to a target thickness at room temperature. Compared with hot-rolled steel sheet, cold-rolled steel sheet is more precise in thickness, smooth and beautiful in surface, and has a variety of superior mechanical properties, especially in processing performance.
Advantages of Cold Rolled Steel
Higher precision, cold rolled strip thickness difference of no more than 0.01~0.03mm.
Thinner dimensions, cold rolled thinnest can be rolled 0.001mm steel strip; hot rolled can now be as thin as 0.78mm.
Superior surface quality, cold rolled steel plate can even produce a mirror surface; while the surface of the hot rolled plate has iron oxide, pockmarks and other defects.
Cold rolled plate can be adjusted according to user requirements of its school performance such as tensile strength and process performance such as stamping performance.
