Material Composition & Properties
Carbon steel coils are produced from steel with carbon content ranging from 0.0218% to 2.11%, typically containing small amounts of silicon, manganese, sulfur, and phosphorus. Performance characteristics vary with carbon content:
- Low Carbon Steel (C≤0.25%): Excellent plasticity, ideal for cold forming and fabrication processes
- Medium Carbon Steel (0.25%<C≤0.6%): Balanced strength properties, commonly used for mechanical components

Manufacturing Processes
