Product Overview
Starch in grains provides 60-80% of the energy supply in feed for monogastric animals and starch in feed is mainly derived from grains such as corn and wheat. Even for high-quality corn, the ileal digestibility of starch generally does not exceed 85%. At the same time, endogenous amylase enzyme activity is greatly affected by high-density feeding, stress, disease and other feeding conditions. Habio cooperates with Sichuan Agricultural University to establish a long-term joint research mechanism, successfully developing the α-amylase that can improve the starch nutrition of grains after the conduction of a large number of enzyme screening and large-scale animal experiments.
Product Functions
The excellent characteristics of Habio amylase are described as follows:
- Hydrolyze the α-1,4-glycosidic bond of starch to generate dextrin and maltose, thus improving the digestibility of starch;
- Have good effects on both amylose and amylopectin, fully degrade resistant starch, reduce the adverse effects caused by anti-nutritional factors, and decrease diarrhea rate;
- Maintain high activity within the body temperature range (about 40℃) of livestock and poultry, have high temperature tolerance and wide pH range, and suitable for all types of animal feeds;
- Supplement the deficiency of endogenous amylase in young animals, reduce the impact of stress reactions on animals, improve the intestinal morphology of animals, promote the absorption and utilization of nutrients, and boost the growth performance of animals.
Definition of Activity
One α-amylase Unit (U/g) is defined as the liquefaction of 1g of soluble starch in 1 hour at 60°C and pH 6.0.

a. Wide temperature range and suitable for animal gastrointestinal environment;
b. Strong thermostability up to 95℃, and good adaptation to the conditions of feed granulation;
c. Wide pH range, high activity in the range of pH 4-7 and suitable for animal gastrointestinal environment;
d. Strong pH tolerance in pH2.5-11.0;
e. Strong resistance to endogenous protease.
