Description of Habio Beta Glucanase

Beta Glucanase can hydrolyze beta glucan in plant feed ingredients to enhace utilization of nutrients in animal feed, such as energy, crude protein, amino acid, etc.

Definition of Beta Glucanase

One unit (U) of Beta-glucanase is defined as the quantity of enzyme, which liberates 1μmol reducing sugar per minute from 4mg/mL β-glucan solution at 37℃, pH5.5.

Anti-nutrient effects of Beta glucan

Beta-glucan in common plant feed stuffs Beta glucan, as a kind of non-starch polysaccharide (NSP), is one of the most important anti-nutritional factors in wheat and feed meal stuffs (table.1)

1. The cell wall contains high level of beta-glucan. Its "package" effect can reduce the diffusion speed of nutrients and the probability that nutrients contacts with digestive enzymes, thereby reducing the utilization of nutrients.

2. The dissolution of beta-glucan increases the viscosity of the chyme and enlarges the volume of intestinal tract after water-swelling , thus reducing the diffusion rate of enzyme and substrate, hindering digested nutrients to approach the surface of small intestine, ultimately leading to lower nutrient digestibility.

3. Combine beta-glucan with glycoprotein of intestinal mucosal epithelial cells to form a thickened and fixed water layer, thus limiting the speed of its absorption.

4. Beta-glucan can be combined with some digestive enzymes and bile salts, all of which are the physiological substances to assist digestion.

Fuction of Habio Beta Glucanase

1. High efficiency of degradation of beta-glucan ,increasing the nutrient digestibility of plant materials, especially wheat and feed meals and improving the production performance of livestock and poultry;

2. Reducing viscosity of chime, improving the nutrients digestibility and usage;

3. Breaking down the cell wall, thus making the grain crude protein, fat, carbohydrates in the cells more easily to be absorbed;

4. Reducing the harmful bacteria breeding, improving the intestinal morphology, make theintestinaltracteasier to absorb the nutrients;

5. More non-conventional raw materials could be used to lower feed costs while maintaining the production performance;

6. Reducing the phenomenon “anal paste” of livestock and poultry, in this way, feces can be cleaned easily, thus reducing the emission of nitrogen in manure.

Character of Habio Beta Glucanase

1. Good thermostability in 70 – 90℃, suit for the feed pelleting; Good acid and alkali resistance, the residual activity is over 80% from Ph3.5 – 7.5.

2. High Activity in 30℃ - 70℃, the optimal temperature is 60℃. High Activity in pH3.5-6.5, the optimal pH is 5.5.

Package and Storage

Packaging: 25kg/bag, 20kg/25kg fiber drums

Store in original package under sealed, room temperature condition for 12 months to solid form.

Avoid to be exposed to the sun, rain, high temperature and high humidity.
