Description of Habio Keratinase

Habio keratinase is keratinase is a specific alkaline serine protease extract from bacillus licheniformis by a liquid fermentation technique and refined by an advanced post-treatment technique. It is not only an alkaline protease, but also can break down disulfide bond, disintegrate keratin. Reductase of disulfide bonds in the keratinase is the key enzyme in the course of keratinolysis.

Definition of Habio Keratinase

One unit (U) of keratinase activity is defined as the amount of enzyme which liberates 1 μg tyrosine per minute from substrate casein at pH 10.5 and 40℃.

1. High Activity in 35℃ - 80℃, the optimal temperature is 65℃.

2. High Activity in pH7.5-10.5, the optimal pH is 10.5.

Store in original package under sealed, room temperature condition for 6 months (less than 25 ℃).
