MTL5546Y MTL Safety Barrier Overview
The MTL5546Y MTL Isolating Driver is designed for 4-20mA HART valve positioners with integrated line fault detection. This safety barrier accepts floating 4/20mA signals from safe-area controllers to drive current/pressure converters or other loads up to 800Ω in hazardous areas. For HART valve positioners, the module enables bi-directional transmission of digital communication signals while providing open circuit detection in field wiring.
