PE Wax DR-486 is an excellent lubricant and hardener in powder coatings. It is white color,

with moderate viscosity, and good thermal stability.

Characteristics and Purposes:

DR-486 needs to be added during the internal extrusion process. It has very good screw lubrication effect and coating surface hardening effect. The addition amount is 0.5% - 3%.

It provide good wear resistance and scratch resistance in some solvent-based offset and gravure printing inks, with the addition of 0.5-2%.

It can also be used in hot-melt road marking paint, with the addition of 5-20%.

In other industries, the addition amount is generally between 1-20%.
