BDK is soluble in ethyl acetate, hot methanol, isopropanol, insoluble in water, easy to decompose in acid, stable in alkaline, and sensitive to light.

BDK is a highly efficient UV photoinitiator with serious yellowing performance, generally not used for varnish system. It can be used in photosensitive resins printing. It is a yellow crystalline powder compatible with unsaturated polyesters, acrylate monomers and oligomers used in UV-curable systems.
