"Aerial/Duct armored GYTA Outdoor Fiber Optic Cable 2-288 cores" is an outdoor use optical fiber cable suitable for duct and aerial applications. We supply GYTA fiber optic cable from 2 fiber cores to 12 fiber cores. Both single mode type and multimode types are available.
The fibers of 250um, are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastics. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound . A fiber Reinforced Wire locates in the center of core as a non-metallic strength member. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core. Then the cable core is covered with a thin Polyethylene (PE) inner sheath, which is filled with jelly to protect it from water ingress. After a corrugated steel tape armor is applied, the cable is completed with a PE outer sheath.
