Also known as "Stone cage net" or "Stone cage basket," these structures are filled with stones on-site to create flexible, permeable, and integrated structures that adapt to various soil conditions and foundation deformations without compromising structural integrity.

Gabions are filled with 100-250mm rocks (5% size variation allowed). Oversize rocks ≤300mm; undersize ≥100mm. Rocks must be hard, angular-to-round, durable, and weather-resistant. Careful placement preserves polymer coatings, with visible faces hand-placed for aesthetic appeal.
