Our gabion boxes are 3-dimensional constructions of double-twisted hexagonal mesh net, made of heavily zinc-coated steel wire for soil stabilization, bracing and reinforcement. For demanding applications or aquatic use, an additional PVC coating is available.
The mesh fabric is formed by weaving adjacent strands of wire through one and a half turns at intervals, creating a hexagonal pattern. The tensile strength is greater in the weave direction. Each unit is folded flat for transport and easily assembled on-site into durable, monolithic structures when filled with stone.

Gabions are molded as single units (except covers) with internal partitions every meter. We use assembly construction with spiral steel wire binding and reinforced edge wiring for maximum strength.
Panels are woven and folded into space-saving bundles for efficient shipping. On-site assembly involves unfolding, binding, and stone filling to create durable flood-resistant structures.
Fill with 100-250mm hard, durable rock (5% size variation allowed). Oversize ≤300mm, undersize ≥100mm. Hand-place visible faces carefully to protect coatings and ensure aesthetic results.
