Gabion baskets are machine-woven, folded into compact bundles, and secured with binding belts for efficient shipping. This packaging method maximizes container space utilization. During installation, bundles are unfolded and assembled with binding wire, then filled with stones to form complete gabion structures.
We include 2% lacing wire with each shipment for convenient assembly.
Gabion baskets should be filled with rocks measuring 100-250mm (with 5% size variation allowed). Oversize rocks should not exceed 300mm, and undersize rocks should be no smaller than 100mm. Use hard, angular to round, durable rocks that won't disintegrate from water exposure or weathering. Take care when placing stones to avoid damaging polymer coatings on gabions.
