Manufacturing Process
Single wall steel tubing is manufactured by continuously forming a single low carbon steel strip into a tubular shape and welding the adjoining edges using high-frequency induction welding. Strict process controls ensure minimal internal weld bead and complete removal of external flashing.
Surface Treatments & Coatings
Plain Tube
Supplied with slightly oiled outside surface to improve oxidation resistance. Requires storage in dry conditions away from humidity and corrosive agents.
Electrolytic Copper Coating
Steel strip copper coated on both sides with ≥2µm copper layer. Welding seam area on outside surface remains uncoated due to scarfing operation.
Hot Dip Zinc Coating
Outside surface coated with zinc layer ≥70 grams per square meter (UNI EN ISO 1460/97). Withstands >72 hours in salt spray fog test before showing red rust (UNI ISO 9227).
