Soft robot fingers with a working life of over 3 million cycles
The R&D team has conducted systematic exploration in the selection and preparation of materials. Through the proportioning of various highly elastic materials and the testing and deployment of physical properties such as density, stress-strain, elasticity and toughness, the soft robot fingers are endowed with high frequency, long-life and stable gripping functions.
It is understood that the life span of suction cups is mostly on the order of 100,000, which translates into the practical concept that a suction cup will only last a minimum of 3-5 days and a maximum of about a month. As of today, SRT products can have a life span of over 3 million cycles.
