Patch cord are actually connecting circuit boards (PCBs) The metal connecting wires at the two demand points have different product designs; the  patch cord materials and thickness are different! There are two methods of network cable, one is cross line and the other is parallel line

The practice of cross line is: 568a standard is adopted at one end and 568B standard is adopted at the other end

The practice of parallel line is: both ends are 568a standard or 568B standard. (generally, the practice of 568B parallel line is used)

568a standard: green white, green, orange white, blue, blue white, orange, brown white, brown

568B standard: orange white, orange, green white, blue, blue white, green, brown white, brown

You can notice that the difference between the two methods is that orange and green are exchanged.

If the two sides of the connection are not equal, use parallel lines, such as connecting a computer to a router or switch

If the two connected devices are peer-to-peer, use a crossover, such as connecting a computer to a computer
