Yarn is a kind of textile, which is processed into a certain fineness product with various textile fibers. It is used for weaving, rope making, thread making, knitting and embroidery, etc. it can be divided into short fiber yarn, continuous filament yarn, etc.

There are many ways to express the fineness of yarn, such as number#1, metric Count#2; English number, denier number, etc. (see number). The twist of the yarn is expressed as the number of twists per meter or inch.
