Particle counter works on the principal of either lightscattering or lightblocking. An aerosol stream is drawn through achamber with a lightsource (either Laser Based Light or WhiteLight). When aparticle is illuminated by this light beam, the light is redirectedorabsorbed. Light scattered by a single particle inaspecificdirection in relation to the original direction hasauniquesignature which relates to the size of the particle.This allows for sizing and counting of individual particles.
