The Laryngeal Mask Device is a type of supraglottic airway device that provides an alternative to endotracheal intubation and standard mask anaesthesia in general anaesthesia. It is inserted into the hypopharynx to form a seal around the larynx to allow spontaneous or positive pressure ventilation without the need for intubating the larynx.The Reusable Silicone Laryngeal Mask Device is designed to be sterilized and used up to 40 times.
Re-sterilization Methods
Wash the Laryngeal Mask Device with soap,distilled water or NaHCO3(saleratus).
(Forbid using formaldehyde, phenol, aseptic with iodine or lubricant with silicone).
Brush gently the airway tube.
Wash the Laryngeal Mask Device cleanly with distilled water.
Make sure Laryngeal Mask Device is dry.
Deflate all the air from Laryngeal Mask Device before steam autoclave.
Steam autoclave 3 minutes at 134℃(+4℃/-0℃).
