An endobronchial tube is a double-lumen tube that is inserted into the bronchus of one lung to deflate the other lung for anesthesia or thoracic surgery. Both double-lumen tubes have a cuffed endobronchial portion and a tracheal cuff. The endobronchial portion is curved to the left or right. They are passed blindly and their position should be confirmed by bronchoscopy.
