The hydraulic pump is a critical component in excavators, responsible for converting mechanical energy into hydraulic energy. The gear pump is mostly used as an auxiliary pump in the excavator hydraulic system, and its principle is based on "volume change due to gear meshing". There is a pair of meshing driving gears and driven gears in the pump body, and a sealed working chamber is formed between the gears, the pump body, and the end cover. When the driving gear rotates under the drive of the engine, the driven gear is meshed and driven to rotate in the opposite direction. At this time, on the suction side of the gear (the side where the meshing teeth are gradually separated), the volume of the working chamber changes from small to large, forming a vacuum, and the hydraulic oil in the oil tank enters the working chamber through the suction port under the action of atmospheric pressure; as the gear continues to rotate, the sucked oil is brought to the discharge side (the side where the meshing teeth are gradually meshed), the volume of the working chamber changes from large to small, and the oil is squeezed and discharged from the pressure oil port, completing the cycle of "oil suction - oil discharge" and realizing the conversion of mechanical energy to hydraulic energy.
