• Working Principle
  • Freewheeling State: When the inner race is fixed and the outer race rotates counterclockwise, the wedges do not lock, and the outer race can rotate freely.
  • Locking State: When the outer race rotates clockwise, the wedges lock, preventing the outer race from rotating.
• Functions
  • Overrunning Clutch: When the output part (inner or outer race) of the one way clutch rotates faster than the power source (outer or inner race), the clutch is in a disengaged state, and there is no connection between the inner and outer races.
  • Indexing Clutch: It can convert linear reciprocating motion into circular step motion of the rotating shaft.
  • Backstopping Clutch: When used in material conveying equipment such as belt conveyors and bucket elevators, it prevents the equipment from reversing when there is no power source.

  • Lubrication: It requires proper lubrication, and oil lubrication is preferred.
