Design and features

Rod ends consist of a rod head and a spherical plain bearing. In the case of maintenance-requiring rod ends, the spherical plain bearing consists of the material combination steel/steel or steel/bronze. Regular maintenance and relubrication is therefore essential.

The rod end SI..ES ,SI..ES-2RS, SIL..ES require maintenance. They have a sliding contact surface combination steel/steel and are suitable for heavy static loads as well as for shock loads.

A joint bearing, also known as a heim joint (N. America) or rose joint (U.K. and elsewhere), is a mechanical articulating joint.
Such joints are used on the ends of control rods, steering links, tie rods, or anywhere a precision articulating joint isrequired. A ball swivel with an opening through which a bolt or other
attaching hardware may pass is pressed into a circular casing with a threaded shaft attached. The threaded portion may be eithermale or female.
