Specification:AWS E7016 is low hydrogen potassium coating carbon steel electrode. It has good welding technological properties and AC arc stable, low spatter, beautiful appearance of weld, good slag detachaility and all position welding. Weld metal has excellent plasticity, low temperature-tenacity and anti-crack ability.

Purpose:It is applied in welding medium-carbon steel and low-alloy structures such as 16Mn, 09Mn2Si, 09Mn2V and the steels used in shipbuilding such as A, B, D, E.
Attention:
1. It is easy to expose to moisture, please keep it in dry condition.
2. It needs heating for 1 hour under the temperature 350C before using.
3. It requires basis metal clearing impurities(such as oil, rust, water and so on)
4. Use short ARC, narrow-circuit method for welding

Notes:
1. The electrode must be preheated at the temperature of 350°C for 1 hour. Preheat the rod whenever it is used.
2. The impurities such as rust, oil stains and moisture must be cleared off of the work piece.
3.Short arc is required to perform welding. Narrow weld path is preferred.
