Description of Foam PVC Board
5mm thick sheet by co-extusion technology is widely used in advertisement field. Different from the free foam technology, its Glossy surface with high strength of impact resistance provides best performance on picture mounting, vinyle lamination, etc.
Foamed PVC sheet is lightweight and quite rigid. It is available in black, white and numerous thicknesses and sheet sizes. Used in Advertising and Construction, PVC Foam offers good insulation, low heat transmission, is Non-Toxic and self-extinguishing.
Expanded PVC foam sheets may come in many different densities; therefore, the raw materials used to make the plastic are mixed together under controlled conditions and then dispensed into molds according to the desired application. The mold is then sealed, clamped and placed in a large press to be heated. Finally, the material expands in a hot water bath to reach its final purpose and cure. After curing, the block is cut into slices of various thicknesses. Expanded PVC foam panels can be cut to size, softened and shaped to suit specific needs as easily as wood.

Application of Foam PVC Board
Because of its strength and durability, expanded PVC foam board is a good alternative to similar materials like polycarbonate plastic, which scratch more easily. Plus, their chemical resistance makes them ideal compared to other plastics, such as acrylic, that can be damaged by harsh cleaners.
