  Identification method of castor material
Castors can be divided into super artificial rubber castors, polyurethane castors, plastic castors,

nylon castors, steel castors, high temperature resistant castors, rubber castors, S-type artificial

castors, etc. Many customers don't know much about casters. When purchasing, many small

processing plants without R & D ability specially imitate the color and appearance of some brand

products, use defective materials and some fake materials to shoddy and confuse fish with pearls,

disrupt the market with very low prices, resulting in unnecessary purchase. How can we solve this

problem? This paper introduces a simple identification method - "combustion method" for several

common materials of industrial castors, which identifies the materials according to the flame, smoke

smell and ash after combustion:

(1) Polyurethane castors: universal wheels are easy to burn, with light white smoke when burning,

easy to melt, no pungent smell and sticky filaments.

(2) Nylon castors: not easy to burn. When burning, there is the smell of hair burning. After burning,

the surface is bubbly and sticky.

(3) PVC casters: easy to burn, with thick black smoke and pungent smell during combustion. The

universal wheel has no sticky filaments, and the burned surface is black toner.

(4) High temperature Nylon Caster: the combustion condition is the same as that of PA material, but

there is white powder on the surface after burning.

(5) Polypropylene castors: easy to burn, with a slight plastic smell. When burning, the surface melts

evenly and has sticky filaments.
