The LD series smart electromagnetic flowmeter is specifically designed for measuring the volume flow of conductive liquids with a conductance higher than 5μS/cm. It consists of a sensor and a converter and is available in two versions: the compact version and the separate version. This flowmeter is widely used in various industries, including chemical and petroleum, metallurgy, water and wastewater, agriculture and irrigation, papermaking, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals, for flow measurement and control.
The measurement principle of the LD smart electromagnetic flowmeter is based on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction. It involves the installation of a pair of electrodes inside a pipe, perpendicular to both the measuring tube axes and the magnetic lines of force. When a conductive liquid flows through the magnetic field, an electromotive force (E) is generated between the electrodes. By measuring this induced voltage, which is proportional to the average flowing velocity of the liquid, the flow rate can be determined.
The voltage signal induced by the flowing liquid is detected by electrodes in contact with the liquid. This signal is then transmitted to the converter for intelligent processing and displayed on an LCD screen. The flowmeter can output standard signals of 4-20mA or 0-1 kHz. It provides accurate and reliable flow measurement, allowing for efficient monitoring and control of conductive fluids in closed pipelines.
