General description

The grooved coupling clamp can be a flexible coupling or a rigid coupling. The victaulic type flexible coupling is designed to connect grooved pipe systems. In order to play the role of grooved pipe joint/pipe fitting joint, a rigid coupling is designed to interconnect the grooved pipes so that there is no relative movement between them. When precise alignment of two grooved pipes/shafts is required, rigid grooved couplings are usually used. Severe radial or axial misalignment can cause high stresses and lead to premature failure.

Definition of a grooved pipe fitting:

Firstly make up a grooved. coupling. The groove on pipe, it is made by forming or machining an actual groove into the ends of two pipes. A gasket wraps around and on top of the pipe ends, the housings wrap around the gasket and sit in the pipe grooves, and the bolts and nuts are tightened with a wrench to hold it all together.
