What is hot stamping/foil stamping process?
Hot stamping/foil stamping is a process whereby a colored layer on a carrier foil is transferred to the item to be decorated by means of a transfer die or a transfer wheel. Pressure, heat and contact time are the main variables in this process. Glass articles require a special screen-printed primer to be printed on the surface of the article in the shape of the pattern. The stamping foil is transferred only on the areas printed with the primer.
