96/4 HAA Blended Polyester Resin for Low Gloss Powder Coatings

◎Introduction
 

NH6688 are saturated carboxyl polyester resins for low gloss polyester/primid (96:4) powder coatings by dry blending procedure.

Conventional matte powder coatings are matted by adding a matting curing agent to the powder to achieve a matting effect during the curing process, which reduces the quality of the powder because there is a low-temperature kneading process during the powder production process, resulting in the formation of impurities before the powder is cured.

Dry mixed matting powder coatings are made of fast and slow (high, low acid value) two components of the powder, through the two powders in accordance with the 1:1 mixture of homogeneous, stable coating gloss, boiling resistance, and greatly improve the weatherability and mechanical properties of the coating, as well as storage stability.

At the same time, the dry mixing matting method avoids the addition of matting agent in the production process, which further reduces the cost of powder coatings.
