Laser Direct Imaging System Overview
Advanced LDI system solutions for PCB multilayer manufacturing, including HDI and FPC applications. This technology represents the evolution of PCB photolithography processes by eliminating traditional photo tools.
Technology Process
Laser Direct Imaging directly exposes Gerber file patterns onto photoresist film using a UV laser beam in raster increments. The system employs specially formulated fast-acting photoresist available in both dry film and liquid options.
How LDI Works
The computer-controlled laser system positions PCBs with photosensitive surfaces and creates images by scanning the board surface into raster images that match pre-loaded CAD/CAM design files.
