Precautions during installation and use of air spring

1. Working air pressure

In order to avoid early damage to the air spring due to too low or too high air pressure, the working air pressure of the air spring should be within a strict range.

If the air spring is sealed with a hoop, the general inflation pressure is not lower than 0.07MPa; if it is clamped by the rim or pressure self-sealing, the inflation pressure is not lower than 0.1MPa

Generally, the designed operating pressure of the air spring is one-third of the burst pressure. For the occasion with a better working environment, the designed operating pressure of the air spring can reach one-half of the burst pressure.

2. Work schedule

The allowable stroke of the air spring is listed in the performance parameter table of each air spring. In order to ensure the service life of the air spring, the air spring is not allowed to exceed the allowable stroke of the air spring during use.

3. Installation conditions

When installing the air spring, try to ensure that the upper cover and the lower cover or base have the same centerline, and minimize the offset and inclination of the air spring centerline. At the same time, it should also ensure that there is enough installation space, the air spring must not cause friction with any part, and it must not interfere with any part during use, and it must prevent the impact of hard objects.

Two preventive measures to avoid air spring failure

(1) Avoid chemical and oily substances from contacting the surface of the air spring rubber airbag.

(2) For screw-fastened and sealed air springs, when the screws of the upper cover are loose and tripped, the screws should be tightened with screw-fastening glue. When the screws are broken, the screws with reliable quality should be replaced.
