Convoluted Air Spring

Bead Plate - The crimped plate serves to fasten the air-spring bellow to the vehicle.
Bellows - The actual springing element, i.e.,an air-spring bellow, consists of: internal reinforcement material, stabilizing brackets and external covering.
Bumper - The bumper restrict the air spring stroke and ensures the emergency operation properties.
Girdle - The central ring act to stabilize the air-spring.

The air spring (referred to as the air bag) is filled with compressed gas (air pressure 0.5-1Mpa) in a sealed container, and uses the compressibility of the gas to realize its spring action. The airbag thus has ideal elastic properties. When the rubber air spring works, the inner cavity is filled with compressed air to form a compressed air column. As the vibration load increases, the height of the spring decreases, the volume of the inner cavity decreases, the stiffness of the rubber spring increases, the effective bearing area of the air column in the inner cavity increases, and the bearing capacity of the rubber spring increases. When the vibration load decreases, the height of the rubber spring increases, the volume of the inner cavity increases, the stiffness of the rubber spring decreases, the effective bearing area of the air column in the inner cavity decreases, and the bearing capacity of the rubber spring decreases.It has excellent elastic properties, thereby improving the running comfort of the vehicle.
