Our market leading Semi Cartoner is the choice of many companies large and small looking for the ultimate mix of flexibility and automation. The machine takes care of erecting, folding and sealing the carton leaving the operator to handle the introduction of the product into the carton. The machine can be adjusted easily for a wide range of carton sizes and due to the manual loading of the product, the machine offers the maximum amount of flexibility with the type of products that can be packed on the same machine.

Operation

The machine carton hopper is loaded with flat cartons. The products are delivered to the load station on the integral conveyor directly from the upstream equipment such as a bagger, flow wrapper or manual assembly process. As the products are delivered to the load station, the machine automatically, on demand, selects and erects the flat cartons and prepares them for the product to be pushed into the open end by the operator.

The operators slide the products from the conveyor and into the open cartons. The machine then folds the end flaps on the carton and applies glue to seal the cartons before ejecting them from the end of the machine.

The Semi Cartoner can be operated by one person at up to 80 cartons per minute if the products slide easily into the carton. Most machines installed run comfortably at 50-60 packs per minute with one operator.
