Single Part Fast Curing Polyurethane Adhesive Bonding Performance And Durable Windshield Adhesive Sealant

Junbond^® JB-16 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive-sealer for pasting windshields where an increased safety guarantee is not required. It is used for fixing the front, rear and side windows to the bodies of cars, vans, railway transport and special purpose vehicles.

Junbond^® JB-16 Windshield Polyurethane Sealant an isocyanate-free, high modulus,non conductive, thixotropic, single component modified polyurethane adhesive, which polymerizes rapidly under the effect of atmospheric moisture. It has been specially designed for bonding of fixed glass in automotive repair.

It allows a drive away time of 6 hours in vehicles with or without airbag.

*Providing the ambient temperature is at least 23°C and relative humidity 50 %.

At lower temperatures and humidities drive away time will be longer.

Application Areas:Bonding and sealing for windshield glass, glass fiber reinforced plastic fittings, steel and aluminum board of automobiles.

Cautions

• Keep away from children.
• Avoid contacting with skin and eye. For skin contacted, remove the sealant by cloth, wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. For eye contacted, hold eyelids apart and flush thoroughly with water, contact physician.

Operation:

Clean before operation

Clean and dry all surfaces by removing foreign matter and contaminants such as oil dust, grease,

frost, water, dirt, old sealants and any protective coating. Dust and loose particles should be cleaned.

Direction of operation

Tool:Manual or pneumatic plunger caulking gun

For sausage

1.Clip the end of the sausage and place in barrel gun
2.Screw end cap and nozzle on to barrel gun
3.Using the trigger extrude the sealant with equal strength

1.Obtain a new windshield.
2.Remove the plastic surround side and top mouldings correctly.
3.Cut the urethane from the outside between the glass and the pinchweld.
4.Apply a windshield primer to the frit band.
5.Apply the urethane with an electric caulking gun.
6.Lift the windshield into place.
7.Push the window down around the frame to guarantee a tight bond.
8.Allow the urethane to dry.
