This is one application of brushless DC motor. 

Brushless DC motor uses electronic communtation instead of mechanical steering. Compared with Brush DC motor, it has long working life and eliminates mechanical steering's noise, sparks and electromagnetic interference and so on. It is of great convenience and reasoning to control motor's performance.

Soft start function	After the controller is powered on, the motor is slowly accelerated to the required value after starting.
Locked rotor protection	When the load brought by the motor encounters great resistance from the outside to stop the motor, the controller temporarily stops the motor. After a few seconds, the motor tries to start. If the resistance is absent, the motor runs normally. If the resistance is still present, the motor stops temporarily again. After several cycles, the motor stops. Manually remove the resistance, and press again to start the motor.
Open phase protection	When one or two of the three phases of the motor are not energized, the motor stops running.
Over current protection	If the motor current suddenly increases beyond the set value due to external factors, the motor will stop running.
