Product Description:
Non woven geotextile fabric is used for filtration, stabilization, erosion control, and drainage. Polypropylene non woven filter fabrics are more cost effective and last much longer than organic fabrics, such as coir and straw. The 3.5 oz non woven geotextile fabric is a lightweight non woven needle-punched geotextile that offers similar flow rates to temporary erosion control fabrics but has a grab tensile strength of 90 pounds. For even stronger control, non woven geotextile fabrics come in sizes up to 16 oz. with tensile strengths up to 425 lbs.
Filtration:
A balance of a geotextile to soil system that allows sufficient fluid flow in the plane of geotextile with limited soil loss.
Perforation and permeability are the most important properties of geotextiles with infiltration action.
Reinforcement:
The introduction of geotextiles into the soil will increase the tensile strength of the soil by the same amount of metal concrete.
Sealing:
A layer of nonwoven geotextile is saturated between existing and new asphalt layers.
