► 2K Acrylic Car Paint Information

2K (2 Pack) Acrylic paint is a very high gloss and durable automotive paint, avoiding the need for topcoat lacquer. This hard wearing versatile material is stone chip and petrol resistant once fully cured, and not effected by UV rays The drying time can be determined by the type of 2k hardener used (fast or slow air dry) we recommend and supply as standard the 2k Fast hardener, slow hardener is available upon request and is more suitable for painting a very large areas or for use in a low bake oven.This paint will not dry without the use of 2k hardener.

► 2K Car Paint Application

It can be used for partial spraying of new cars or repairing of old cars.

►2K Acrylic Car Paint Notes

Spraying and applying layers: 2-3 layers, 50-70um in total

Interval: 5-10 minutes, 20℃

Spraying and applying tool: Geocentric spray gun (upper bottle) 1.2-1.5mm, 3-5kg/cm²

Spraying air pressure: suction spray gun (lower bottle) 1.4-1.7mm; 3-5kg/cm²

1, Light-colored paint is not allowed to be sprayed with varnish, otherwise the color will turn yellow.

2, Before spraying the top coat, sand the primer with P800 fine sandpaper.

3, Please let the primer dry thoroughly before spraying the top coat, otherwise blisters will appear.

► Construction Method

1. 1K paint.

1K paint can be directly added to the thinner for spraying, and the mixing ratio with 1K game thinner is 1:1, and no curing agent is required. The 1K paint shows a matte state after being sprayed and dried, so it must be sprayed directly on the surface of the base color paint after mixing with varnish, curing agent, and thinner.

2. 2K paint.

Before using 2K paint for spraying, add curing agent and thinner before spraying. 2K paint has its own brightness, no need to use varnish to increase gloss. From the effect of spraying, 2K paint is better than 1K paint. 1K paint only serves as a base color and protects the surface of the paint film. In terms of hardness, 2K paint is better than 1K paint.
