H-FABP Overview

H-FABP mainly exists in the cytoplasm of myocardium. It is a small cytoplasmic protein. It can be quickly released into the blood when the myocardium is injured, and is quickly cleared from the plasma by the kidneys to return to normal; AMI begins to increase after 30 minutes, 6 It reaches the peak around 8h and returns to normal at 20h. The sensitivity of H-FABP in diagnosing early AMI is much higher than that of MYO, cTn and CK-MB, and the specificity is higher than that of MYO. It is more valuable for the early diagnosis of chest pain within 3 hours.
