H-FABP Overview

H-FABP mainly exists in the cytoplasm of myocardium, and is a small molecular protein of cytoplasm. When myocardium is injured, it can be quickly released into blood, and quickly cleared from plasma by kidney to return to normal. AMI began to rise 30 min after onset, reached the peak about 6-8h, and returned to normal at 20h. The sensitivity of H-FABP in the diagnosis of early AMI is much higher than that of MYO, CTN and CK-MB, and its specificity is higher than that of MYO. H-FABP is more valuable for the early diagnosis of chest pain within 3h.
