CK-MB Overview

Creatine kinase enzyme (CK-MB) is an enzyme system widely found in human striated muscle. When the transverse muscle, such as myocardium and skeletal muscle, is damaged, the creatine kinase isoenzyme is released into the blood and begins to rise after 4-6 hours, with a peak time of 24 hours and a recovery time of 48-72 hours.
