The high pulse withstanding capability of the RS11 series of carbon composition resistors from CNAMPFORT Resistor offers designers a compact solution for applications involving high voltages and high-energy pulses.
Product Overview
While many resistor manufacturers claim to offer carbon composition replacements, wirewound or thick film alternatives do not fully match the pulse performance and low inductance of carbon composition. CNAMPFORT offers carbon composition resistors made from a solid rod of conductive composite material, with chemical composition altered to produce different resistance values.
Construction
Organic solid-core resistors are made by mixing conductive substances such as carbon black and graphite with fillers and organic binders to form a powder, which is then hot-pressed into a plastic shell after special preparation. The leads are directly pressed into the resistor body.
