FRX135-60F PPTC Resettable Fuse 60V 72V 1.35A Through-Hole Overcurrent Protection
The FRX135-60F is a through-hole ceramic PTC thermistor designed as a polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) resettable fuse. This device provides reliable overcurrent and overtemperature protection for electronic circuits while automatically resetting after fault conditions are cleared.
PPTC devices utilize advanced polymer materials that exhibit significant resistance changes with temperature. During overcurrent or overvoltage conditions, the device generates thermal energy, causing its polymer matrix to transition from crystalline to amorphous phase. This results in a resistance increase of several orders of magnitude, effectively "tripping" the circuit. The device remains in this high-resistance state until the fault is cleared and power is removed.
