With the development of the iron and steel industry, the smelting intensity and smelting coefficient of each iron making plant have been continuously enhanced, and the quality requirements of the waterless taphole clay for the iron hole have become higher and higher. Its performance is directly related to the safe operation of the blast furnace. Generally speaking, when there is no molten iron slag in the blast furnace, the waterless taphole clay is filled in the iron hole to maintain sufficient depth of the iron hole. When the blast furnace is drawing iron, holes are drilled out of the center of the waterless taphole clay in the iron orifice, through which the molten iron slag is discharged out of the furnace.
