Visual Inspection System for Floating Cap and Crooked Cap

1. Introduction

This project visually detects whether the bottle cap is tightened in place and whether it is tilted. The bottle body and cap are as shown in the figure below.

2. System Design

2.1 Related supporting requirements

The inspection station requires the camera to be approximately 200mm away from the bottle cap. According to the detection content and characteristics, in order to ensure 100% detection accuracy, the visual work site lighting is required to be stable and without obvious external light interference.

2.2 Visual installation structure

The vision system software uses vision-specific software for multi-threading image acquisition and processing.

3. Hardware Configuration

• One Basler 500W grayscale camera, GigE camera communication method
• 1 set of industrial camera vision software platform
• 1 industrial Ethernet cable
• 1 500W pixel industrial camera lens
• One industrial computer

4. Software Configuration

• The testing project includes all the testing requirements;
• The image processing software system developed based on high-level languages ​​has multi-job functions. When you need to change products, you only need to add the feature template of the new product to the program. The program can automatically switch detection features according to the detection product model, without adding new hardware;
• The detection and processing cycle of each photo taken by a single camera is less than 300ms;
